Students will understand how this phrase helps with the creative play of improv and the endless possibilities it can provide.
Play
Play is at the heart of all improv. This class will help improvisers knock off old habits and start fresh without being distracted by rules and structure, all while acknowledging their place on stage.
Characters
Each student will create characters that are dynamic and interesting to the audience while learning how those characters affect the story through creative play.
Confidence
This class takes time to focus on confidence, on-stage and in life. Improvisers will dive into the positives and negatives that confidence can contribute to the individual performance as well as group cohesion.
Story Structure
Learn the basics of developing a story using equal parts structure and improvisation while understanding that the most engaging performances have both.
